Description
Tiny origami cranes folded from the pages of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights.
In Japanese culture, the crane (or tsuru) symbolizes peace, happiness, and good luck. Cranes are believed to live a thousand years in Japanese folklore. They also mate for life, making them a symbol of loyalty – which is why they’re a popular gift.
These earrings combine that symbolism with classic literature. Each crane is carefully folded from genuine pages of Wuthering Heights, so you get the text, the aged paper, the whole aesthetic.
The folds are delicate and detailed, giving each crane an organic look. No two pairs are exactly the same because they’re made from different pages of the book.
Details:
Each crane measures approximately 2cm wide and 2.5cm high
Attached to nickel-free stud earrings
Water-resistant protective finish applied
Handmade to order in my UK studio
Care: They’re water-resistant, but avoid extreme wet conditions (like wearing them in the shower). Treat them with reasonable care and they’ll last.
Personalisation: Want cranes from a different book? Just ask. I can work with most titles.
Each pair is unique. Slight variations in text and pattern make them one-of-a-kind.
